Vince Zampella, Dies in a California Vehicle Accident

The co-creator of Call of Duty, renowned for co-creating the immensely successful video game Call of Duty, has died in a traffic collision in the state of California at the age of 55.

His passing was announced by Electronic Arts, the publisher that controls Respawn Entertainment, the development studio that he helped create.

The celebrated video game developer lost his life when his automobile collided and burst into flames on a freeway in Los Angeles on Sunday, US media outlets report.

"This is an unimaginable loss, and we stand with Vince's family, those closest to him, and everyone impacted by his creative vision," an official with Electronic Arts said.
